"Regarding the Mojo pricing, these were the best prices we could agree with the bus operators as they were concerned about mojo undercutting other ticketing products that are valid on their own services. Also, it depends on your travel choice, if you are travelling a lot then mojo may be better value than the £2 fares, in particular the weekly mojo may be a good deal for people who make regular bus journeys every day. The £2 fares are only available until the end of the year at the moment and may not continue after that. "Also, in order to take up the future contactless / fare capping / TOTO solution currently being developed, a council needs to have a whole area ticket in operation already so the whole area ticket is basically a stepping stone to that solution, when it goes live." |
